Trendsetter The owner didn't know what to do with him and those that tried said he was "crazy" and others wouldn't take him, so Jamison said the owner could bring the horse to Cedar Knoll and she would see what could be done with the wild horse... so the big chestnut came to CKF only they never came back to pick him up. And that's how Turner came to live at Cedar Knoll... Instead of that wild horse, he was a shy sweet gentleman that Jamison took extra care to make sure he always had his extra flake of hay behind a certain tree as she knew he wouldn't stand up to the other geldings... and no matter where he was in the pasture, Jamison or one of students would get him and walk him out of the field to make sure he wouldn't be bothered by the other horses while he ate In return... he took care of the CKF student of all ages...he gave Blair confidence at a time when she almost quit, and now she jumps courses or gallops the trails...when Katie's horse was injured at the last minute...Turner not only took her to the finals at Lexington, but held his own against the fanciest horses in the state and they came home with ribbons! And in his final weeks, Tracy would spend hours grooming him while he'd eat the hay that she'd sneak out for him, and her daughter, Georgia was learning so much on Turner as she would ride him in the ring while the older riders practiced their exercises. We were so lucky to have you Turner! Now go find your extra hay behind that certain tree! Cedar Knoll will always be thankful that Jamison agreed to work with the crazy big horse! Rest In Peace!
